quotes Haha, no mtb4lfe... I was talking about tinitim44's rather rediculous over-reaction to your joke. It's funny to me how little kids use the sheild of the internet to be a complete douche...

quotes Just for the sake of stating it, and because this tread keeps popping up on my homepage, I'll state the main reason I think pot remains illegal. It's not because of it's level of THC, or because of the "drug lords", or the government wanting to keep people under opression. It's because there is currently no system of measurement of the level of intoxication. It's inevitable that people will smoke weed behind the wheel, on the job-site, public areas etc. and there are no standards to determine how much is "too much". Everyone knows that the legal limit for consumption of alcohol is 0.08% And anything above that you're in shit, weather you're driving, at the job, in public or whatever. Everone is affected by marijuana differently, just like booze, so there would have to be a standard in place first to determine an acceptable level of intoxication, or at least a functionable one. It's my understanding, (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this, but only with real fact please), that the level of intoxication from marijuana is not measureable with current technology, due both to the short duration of the high and the methods of testing. A urine test will only show it's presence.

quotes If he doesn't want to wear a helmet, what do you care... It only takes one whack on the head to realize it sucks. I don't wear a helmet for street either. Every year tons of surfers get killed surfing big waves all over the world, you don't see those guys preaching life jackets to each other. Sports like snowboarding, surfing, MTB, skating, etc come with inherent risks that everyone accepts when they take it on... if you choose to add extra protection to yourself when your ride, good on ya... it's a great idea for sure, but I'm getting tired of the whole "where's the helmet" thing. Oh, and sorry jv86416, this isn't a direct hit on you, I just needed to fine a "helmet" post that wasn't 17 replies deep ;)

quotes Everyone is so bent on the helmet thing, when I was his age bike helmets didn't even exist... we all rode our bikes as hard as him, maybe not shredded like him but we still did it. He's like 7 and he shreds, I'd say shreds harder then 60% of the 15 y/o kids on here, and if his parents are cool with the no helmet think, give it a rest... I think he's sick!

I was at work, when that truck was on the bridge, I was working at Coal Mountain, the turn off just on the Alberta side of that green bridge and at 6pm they told us that it would be between 3 and 6 hours before the highway was going to be open I had been at work since 6 and there was no way I was staying. I drove the work truck through some pretty cool country to get out, I pulled on to the highway on the B.C. side of the green bridge.
